Terms of Service

1.1 Eligibility

Use of the PTISBetong platform is restricted to authorized personnel designated by the Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD) Betong and associated school ICT teams. Access requires valid authentication through approved methods (e.g., Google Workspace for Education account provided by MOE).

1.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. Any activity occurring under your account is your responsibility. Report any suspected unauthorized access to the ICT Unit PPD Betong immediately.

1.3 User Responsibilities

You agree to use PTISBetong solely for official educational and administrative purposes related to ICT management within the Betong division. You must comply with all applicable Malaysian laws, Ministry of Education directives, and these Terms.

You explicitly agree NOT to use the platform to:

• Engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious activities.
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or gain unauthorized access to data or systems.
• Transmit viruses, malware, or any code of a destructive nature.
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation or infrastructure.
• Copy, modify, distribute, or resell any part of the platform or its content without explicit permission.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access.

3.1 Platform Content

All materials on PTISBetong, including software, text, graphics, logos, and interface elements, are the property of PPD Betong or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

3.2 User Data

Data entered into the system regarding school ICT assets remains the property of the respective schools and/or PPD Betong, subject to relevant data policies. You grant PTISBetong the necessary license to process this data for the platform's intended operational purposes.

3.3 Usage Rights

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the platform according to your assigned role and permissions, solely for official duties.

Our data handling practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy. By using PTISBetong, you agree to the terms outlined in the Privacy Policy.

The platform may integrate with or link to essential third-party services (e.g., Google Authentication, Supabase). We are not responsible for the practices or content of these external services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen technical issues. We are not liable for any disruptions or loss resulting from unavailability.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be effective upon posting, indicated by the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PTISBetong and PPD Betong shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the platform. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PPD Betong and its personnel from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the platform.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to PTISBetong at our discretion, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for operational reasons determined by PPD Betong.

These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PTISBetong regarding the use of the platform, superseding any prior agreements.
